Kaleidoscope en Nos vemos los viernes / I will see you on Friday

Ahora ya estoy comprometida...'Nos vemos los viernes' es una buena opcion para los que estamos solitos en casa con nuestra adiccion a los colorines y las telas...y como no puedo acudir en persona a una reunion de adictas o deberia decir ,' fabricholic@s anonim@s '..pues nos mostramos los avances de la semana on line.
Esta semana estoy a medias ,  y hago esta entrada expresamente para deciros que:
1- Esto ..empezo como una prueba, y como no estoy para perder en gastos...ahora lo termino como un tapiz . Despues vendra uno mayor.
2- No estoy muy orgullosa, con el cuidado que llevo podria estar mejor, pero confio en que puedo mejorar !
3- Vereis una foto mia que puede parecer ridicula..lo se, pero odio los sprays..y no encuentro , a precio razonable, el adhesivo 505 que me parece menos agresivo....a si que teneis licencia para reir  :-))
4- Lo mas importante aqui es que he utilizado una tecnica muy libre para las tiras que enmarcan los bloques del caleidoscopio , lo vi en un tutorial 'Fun Quilt Border Ideas' de  Heather Thomas  es como un foundation paper pero con tela de base ,cosiendo aleatoriamente, no importa angulos rectos, libre y facil , pero mejor lo veis en la web.

Tengo que pensar el FMQ que le va ..voy a buscar algo de plumeros ..jajajaj 'feather' y si me enredo..me voy por lo facil, que se acumula la tarea!

I'm in 'See you on Friday' ,Spanish on line showing list to update what is going on with our weekly quilt projects. I would rather prefer participate face to face with a group of quilter( fabricholic I would say)...and share our madness for scraps and fabrics but, for the time being , that is not possible to me , my virtual colleagues so far are at any place having a meeting on line :-))

About my project this week..
1- Started as a try ..I will make a large one, but at the moment is a wall hanging (I can not afford to lose fabrics lol)
2- I feel not much proud of the results ..but I will keep trying !
3- You will see a ridiculous pic , its me ,  I hate sprays, cannot find mine a good price ! but I need it..
4- Block is a kaleidoscope..I love it when is larger has so many possibilities, even only 2 colours is so nice ! I just learned a new technique from  Heather Thomas and really enjoy it, you make a sash ' as you go' more or less making a foundation white fabric, for ex. , and sewing randomly scraps , no matter aligned, no matter right angle...at the end you will  trim them at required width , better take a look at website :-))

Amazing Nature !! / Sorprendente Naturaleza

Este es el bosque encantado...Hoy no hablo de telas , pero si de colores, colores que la madre Naturaleza esconde algunas veces y nos las devuelve en Primavera ..no es increible ! solo en Mayo puede verse este espectaculo..
Espero que disfruteis de la vista y la belleza que esconden estas imagines ..tomadas con mi movil...desde luego no son de campeonato..pero valen ! A Cristina y a mi nos sorprendio en uno de nuestros paseos con los xuxos .

This is the Fairy Forest, today I won't tell  about fabrics but about colours ,colours of Nature hide in winter time and they come back at Springtime , only in May, every year at May you can see  blue colours on this Forest... It's amazing !! I hope you enjoy the view and the Beauty of these pictures taken with my phone , they are not from a master..but is worth it !!

Fringe for a bed cover/ Un fleco muy especial...

Si recordais mi ultima entrada, la semana pasada, mencione estar muy ocupada con la confeccion de 8 metros de un fleco anudado ...pues bien , os dejo con unas imagenes que bien pueden servir de inspiracion para aquellos que sintais la necesidad de ocupar un tiempo ...entretanto , entre nudo y nudo, podeis meditar o escuchar musica..puede resulttar incluso terapeutico...je je ( la palabra aburrimiento no esta en mi diccionario) Y si no ved las imagenes a continuacion

Just came out that way / Asi resulto...

A quick reminder about this post  that I was talking last week, I have been busy making a fringe..
yes, a fringe !to enhance a bed cover, but that pictures will come later . Curious project come to me and makes me one more job challenge...a handmade 8 yards  fringe ! LOL

Here is the rose cushion finished, I like so much how it turns out.
I might call it 'the upcycled cushion ', which was for years neglected  as an obsolete piece, actually is an Antique and nice piece ...so now is on my bed, spreading the love for roses .

Rapido recordatorio sobre mi ultima entrada de las rosas de St Jordi .
He estado muy ocupada pero quiero mostrar como se ha terminado una pieza que habia  sido olvidada y ahora aparece como una pieza revaluada, es como una pieza de Anticuario, sobre mi cama  ,mostrando my amor por las Rosas (en el mundo textil ya que en la Naturaleza prefiero la Hortensia ...je je  Siempre fue asi..que raro , no !)

Las fotos :

Needlepoint ampliado con lino a cuadros acolchado y terminado con bies.Esta todo el forrado.
Needlepoint originaly that I have done it bigger with red check linen fabric and binding with polka dots.
It is quilted and all lined.

I used as well, the original olive brown velvet pillow-back and natural flax linen to make it bigger up 55cm sq.

That is how look likes on the bed !

Sant Jordi : una Rosa y un Libro / Special Catalonian day : a Rose and a book

A quick reminder for one of the best traditions we have in Catalonia...Sant Jordi's day  (Saint George)
The warmth and flowers comes with all its bloom .

All the cities and small villages are full of Roses , at any place you can find stalls with Red Roses and books ..books in anywhere ..It is our way of celebrates Valentines day as well !

Happy 'stitching week'   /  Feliz semana de costura 

Make a window is make a room / Vestir ventanas ...

De vez en cuando entro en mi blog 'la importancia que tiene para mi' las ventanas en casa. ojos al exterior que reflejan quien vive dentro y como lo hace...Siempre desde pequenia, me gusto ver de noche, las luces encendidas de las casas e imaginaba su vida interior....no es ser cotilla, es valorar el 'nido'.

Mi idea es que .. vestir una habitacio'n , es ponerla 'en traje de domingo'..me parece  muy importante , y no hay una sola manera, lo se' , pero desde el Taller de lino propongo tonos neutros para tamizar la luz , en los cristales visillos claros y translu'cidos , despue's pueden venir caidas largas o cortas a ambos lados de la ventana , recogidas o en estores , aunque por  si mismo el Lino viste y hace acogedor cualquier ambiente
No utilizo estampados , unicamente los colores neutros...

Ambientes relajados con un aire Country,  blanco, crema, madera decapada para los muebles , sofas de tejidos claros tambie'n , fibras naturales y en los accesorios, puntos de color con estampados y rallas en cojines  sobre el sofa,alfombras ...conseguir un ambiente personal y unico . Esa es mi apuesta.
Veamos el 'antes y despues' de algunas ventanas  de mis clientes .

Once in a while I posted in my blog the significance from eyes-window at home, I think they reflect how anyone lives and as he does.When I was child always saw inner window , at night, and imagined inner life, it is not to be nosy, is to value the 'nest'.
I think that dressing a window is dressing the room. From my Studio I suggest Neutrals colours , the colours of  Natural Linen : Grey , Ivory and White. Sometimes with sheers-panels on windowsill , you don't need nothing more, no big ones at each side ,if you want to preserve light and intimacy , linen is sufficient.

For cozy and relaxed atmospheres flax  Linen is great , pickled furnitures and a bit of colour  in armchair and carpet will be the best partner.That's my point !!

Spring is coming along / Eclosion de color, es Primavera

Did you ever see that post before in my blog ?  It was about Spring is coming with lots of colours...
Casual Spring in this case ..Please have a look and understand what I mean, isn't it  gorgeous! is for my guys !
I found in a Quilt magazine that  from Fons and Porter. I like it, easy to understand .

Inside you will find a the designer of this Denim Quilt...I told before that I fall in love and immediately thought in my son Roger and Helen...
I cannot give you the pattern, which is copyright matter..but you will understand when see the pictures..
For those who love Cathedral Windows is so easy..and it seems is a kind of  Japanese Folding Quilt technique



Here is my version ...no perfect in the back side, I had to admit , It can be improved !! LOL

If it would be now..I would make stitches in same colour :blue

Be indulgent , is more difficult to handle than I thought :-))

Esta es mi version del quilt que encontre en esta revista arriba referenciada ..me enamore y lo pense para mis hijos..pronto lo van a tener en casa ..
Por temas legales no hay tutorial..pero para los amantes de Catedral windows es facil con solo verlo y el patron que ella ofrece es sencillo, lo dificil es manejarlo , yo no le he puesto acolchado, lo encuentro muy recio para ser manta de cama, lo concibo para decorar o en un sofa, tambien picnic...Espero sea de interes.

 I pray with this in my shop, it's my 'mantra' .I like my job so much and I can not imagine that someone could be unhappy with it .Crazy , rigth?? we can not satisfy everyone , I know ! but if someone told me that my work at home has been different from what expected  I disappoint myself.
During the process , in my workshop, I send pictures from the project, clients can see how is made, step by step.
My work is mostly commisioned and bespoked ,against  to be a highly profitable business  I don't care so much which satisfaction is also a good income I'm definitely out of a system that rewards the greedy people..
 I'm looking for (small) daily happiness...Am I  fool ??

Yo rezo con esto en mi tienda, es mi mantra, me gusta tanto mi trabajo que no concibo que alguien quede descontento, ...loca verdad? Direis que es inevitable , no se gusta a tod@as por igual, lo se, pero si alguien me dijera que al recibir el encargo en casa lo ha visto distinto a lo esperado y no le gusta, seria muy decepcionante para mi.Durante el proceso de un encargo mando fotos a mi cliente.Trabajo principalmente bajo encargo,proyectos personalizados que hemos acordado antes con fotos de su casa, y contra todo pronostico de ser un negocio altamente rentable, pero no me importa yo busco la satisfaccion como el mejor de todos los pagos, no padezco de la 'depre' de los lunes, pues trabajo domingo si hace falta .definitivamente estoy fuera de un sistema que premia la avaricia sobretodas las cosas , yo busco la felicidad de lo cotidiano...en las pequenias cosas.

Esto es lo que he hecho ultimamente para una cliente que regresa y elogia mi trabajo...es tan encantadora  Gracias Rachel !
Cortinas para un ventanal en 3 secciones laterales mas pequenios : 50 x 100 cm  y un central de 100 x 100 cm ...un reto, pues a Rachel le gustan los ambientes claros y diafanos , las cortinas estan en una estancia donde predomina una alfombra de estilo clasico con grandes dibujos ,sofas en tonos marrones y malva , como la alfombra, las cortinas confeccionadas con puntas hechas a mano de ganchillo pero con mucho relieve, nada romantico de finas puntillas de encaje, mas bien que domine sobre el Lino y permita gran entrada de luz...que os parece ? Estilo Art-deco

I want for my customer in this case , retuning customer , a piece that show texture , not exactly 
a romantic shabby chic one,which she loves  but a piece who combines with a carpet in the room that remembers me the classical/ antique Turkey design in brown and mauve colours  which gives a big personality in her living room...
Rachel likes clear and relaxed atmosphere and for the big window she wants a white linen ..'the carved crochet' (I have to say) gives a sophisticated look and allows light entrance through it.
The crochet insertion Lace is all hand stitched , specifically hem stitched, with drawn work on it and for the small flower is machine appliquee . I like how looks like when you see curtain through the light..is gorgeous.

No es un jardin el mejor lugar para ellas....pero cada visillo en su ventana !
